Bon Jovi | Live at First Union Center | Philadelphia 2003

Great show with a band very much on fire! Though the setlist was rather common for its time, it's still a very enjoyable and nicely balanced ride! In its characteristics, this one seems a bit similar to the legendary Madison Square Garden recording from 2005. It's also filmed from the very upper tier near the stage which captures the enthusiastic crowd very nicely. Downside is that it also grabbed a lot of echo and hence the audio was pretty mushy. I tightened the stereo band a bit more and also added a filter that usually deletes too much breath on a singer's voice which at least reduced the reverb of Jon's vocals by a few per cent. Since almost only higher frequencies were captured and it was very boomy, I worked on giving it more of a natural feel in the lower frequencies. Unfortunately, Richie's guitar sometimes quite drowns a bit in the sound, but it's definitely gotten listenable. Imagine you're in a stadium somewhere in the stands and it gets pretty close :D The video was a bit hazy, but good and clear. I worked on the colours to lower some lightning issues and also enhanced colours amongst other things. Only downside would be that the concert was put onto one DVD which caused a bit of pixilation due to its length. Setlist: 01. Intro [0:00] 02. Bounce [0:32] 03. You Give Love A Bad Name [3:42] 04.
