Quick impressions from the first flight with my new kit consisting of a Skywalk Sage 115 (loaded at around 110) and the Niviuk Arrow L. This is my first 2 liner so I can't really compare it against other 2 liners, instead my comments are mostly meant as a comparison with my previous wing, the Phi Allegro light (EN-C). Launch is super easy, but compared to the Allegro the wing accelerates at the top and requires more brakes to stop. Nothing worrisome, I'll just have to get used to it. After launch the wing immediately gave me a super solid impression and I had no issues dealing with the somewhat punchy spring thermal and windy conditions. It felt like it was cutting through a lot of stuff, but not in a way that would be dull. Break pressure felt just about right. This being a two liner, the brake lines are longer than what I'm used to and in very tight cores I felt like I needed to take a second wrap. Or maybe I'm not using enough weight shift, I need to experiment more. Overall I had zero scares or unexpected behaviors during this flight. Accelerated, the wing feels very solid and I had no trouble whatsoever controlling the wing on the B's, it immediately felt very intuitive. And as you would expect, the B-handles are much nicer to use compared to the C-handles on the Allegro because there is no pressure "step" at the beginning, and overall less pressure was needed. Last I flew the Allegro in a competition, I was getting seriously sore hands at the end of each task due to pulling on the C-handles, and I hope/expect this will not be an issue with the Sage going forward. So overall I'm super happy with the new kit. The only complaint I have is the Arrow's speed bar where somehow I was having a bit of trouble operating it such that the pull on both sides would be balanced, but I reckon this is just a matter of getting more practice. Otherwise the Arrow is great too, no concerns whatsoever. Except maybe that because it doesn't fold that well, I've had to use a bigger backpack, but that's not really an issue.
