NCSC backs P1,000 monthly stipend for PH senior citizens | DZMM TeleRadyo

Courtesy Of DZMM Teleradyo. The National Commission of Senior Citizens is backing a measure to expand the social pension coverage for the country’s 11 million senior citizens. NCSC chairperson Atty. Merceditas Navarro-Gutierrez said she wants a P1,000 monthly stipend for seniors, regardless of economic status, but admitted this will depend on the Universal Pension Fund. The NCSC said the commission has disbursed P2.8 billion in benefits under the Expanded Centenarians Act.
