With the snow-capped peak of Mount Chicón in the distance, this deeply emotional celebration takes place in nature, honoring love, connection, ancestral wisdom and the sacred relationship between humanity and the natural world. Guided by traditional Q'ero paqos, spiritual practitioners and keepers of ancient Andean wisdom, the couple takes part in a sacred despacho ceremony, an offering of gratitude to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus, the sacred mountain spirits. Through the traditional ceremony of Huywarikuy, k'intus made from coca leaves are offered with prayers, intentions and gratitude, honoring the Andean principle of Ayni, the sacred relationship of reciprocity, balance and mutual care between people, nature and the spiritual world. Surrounded by indigenous Andean textiles, handwoven ceremonial garments and the extraordinary beauty of the Peruvian highlands, the couple receives blessings for their marriage, their family, their continued journey together and all the years still to come. A rustic floral arch adorned with sunflowers and eucalyptus frames their ceremony, while wildflowers dance across the mountainside and llamas wander through the landscape. Every detail reflects the colors, textures and living traditions of the Andes. Following the ceremony, the couple enjoys a private highland picnic, sharing a beautiful moment together among the mountains, with local flavors, fresh flowers and uninterrupted views of the Sacred Valley.
