In this lecture, we delve into the fundamental conservation laws governing fluid motion, with particular emphasis on the Reynolds Transport Theorem and the continuity equation, which encapsulates the principle of mass conservation. We further explore the implications of incompressibility in fluid flows, highlighting its mathematical and physical consequences. Additionally, the concept of the stream function is introduced as a powerful analytical tool for representing two-dimensional incompressible flow fields.
