Mike Dyl - Bruises Prod. by Mook Beatz (Official Video)

For me, Bruises are the scars that make you who you are. The hard truth about it is the fact that the scars affecting you negatively or positively are solely your choice. Whether we like to accept that or not, it holds true. When I reflect on this record, so much inspiration came from past traumas, oppression, and society’s perception and pressures upon black men and just being a human being in general struggling to find your way dealing with all of the emotional battles. There’s so much that can fall under the Bruises category. So in conclusion, this record Bruises represents the silver lining to the pain and bad choices made along the journey.
