Descending into Wales' slate mines — 100+ meters down into darkness, decay, and danger. We rappelled through abandoned slate chambers, crossed suspended wooden bridges that haven't been maintained in decades, and navigated zip lines strung across the void. But the real challenge waited below: a pitch-black underground lake crossed by canoe, with nothing but headlamps and the sound of dripping stone. This is urban exploration at its limit. No guides. No safety net beyond what we rigged ourselves.
