ZOOM G1Xon in the effects loop, effects return and delay tail

Please Support this channel by Subscribing or becoming a Patron   / krachwerke   A question came up, how does the ZOOM G1Xon perform in the effects loop and not in front of the amp. To answer this question the setup here is that the pre out goes into the zoom g1xon and back into the effects return (EFX return). This is considered the ideal way to add delays, reverbs or other modulation type effects because they sound cleaner this way. In this case it seems to work very well with the g1xon. The problem of the noise when driven also doesn't seem to show up as the g1xon has no drive effects, just a clean signal. The other question attempted to answer is do the delays tail when switching patches. The answer is seemingly no, although literature suggests it does mine does not seem to do so and it is on the latest firmware. I have requested a statement from ZOOM UK and they have responded saying they will confirm. Will update their answer here later.
