The 9 Weapons the Sumerians Said Are Built Into Humans — And the One Still Active

🔔 Subscribe before this one shows you how humanity ended up holding power the gods never meant to give away 📜⚡    / @theancientsealus   In the Sumerian myth "Inanna and Enki," the god Enki possessed something no other god controlled: the me, more than a hundred sacred decrees that governed every aspect of civilization itself, kingship, priesthood, law, writing, truth, even warfare and deceit. 👁️📚 Inanna, goddess of the city of Uruk, traveled to Enki's shrine at Eridu and challenged him to a drinking competition. As the beer flowed, Enki grew generous, and one by one, he began handing Inanna the me, the actual governing powers of human civilization, as drunken gifts. 🍺⚡ By the time he realized what he'd done, it was too late. Inanna had already loaded the me onto the Boat of Heaven and fled toward Uruk. Enki sent his minister and a string of monsters to chase her down and take them back, but every attempt failed. 🚤🌊 When Inanna arrived in Uruk, she didn't hide what she'd taken, she displayed the me openly to the people, permanently anchoring the mechanisms of civilization not in a god's temple, but in a human city. 🏛️✨ Enki, defeated, had no choice but to make peace with Uruk and accept what had happened. In this video, we walk through this entire myth exactly as the Sumerian tablets describe it, and what it reveals about how dangerously close humanity came to holding the gods' own authority. 🔍 If ancient mythology, divine power struggles, and the oldest stories humanity ever told fascinate you, this is exactly the kind of content we dive into every week. 🏺 We love uncovering the oldest stories humanity ever told. 🌍 👉 Don't forget to subscribe and turn on notifications so you catch every new mystery the moment it drops! 🔔✨ #Sumerians #Inanna #Enki #AncientMysteries #Mesopotamia #Mythology #Uruk #UnexplainedHistory
