In 1976, a live-action/animated TV special was aired called Bugs and Daffy's Carnival of the Animals. It's an abridged performance of the musical suite by Camille Saint-Saëns, with each movement broken up by banter between classic cartoon characters Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. I watched the special for the first time recently and felt those sections were the worst part. The most interesting parts were the performances of the music, accompanied by unique animated sequences directed by Herbert Klynn. I decided to remove the Bugs/Daffy segments as much as I could, presenting a version of the special without that guffery. I hope you enjoy. (I removed the audio from the opening and ending credits because they feature Bugs and Daffy having an inane argument, and there was no way I could cut them out. I also decided to be a cheeky sod and remove the credits of Chuck Jones, Mel Blanc and Ogden Nash, whose contributions (writing, vocal deliveries and movement monologues) respectively were in the scenes I removed.) --- 0:00 - Opening Credits 0:41 - Introduction [Movement I] 01:15 - Royal March of the Lion [Movement I] 03:01 - Hens and Roosters [Movement II] 03:48 - Swift Animals (Wild Asses) [Movement III] 04:23 - Kangaroos [Movement VI] 05:21 - Aviary [Movement X] 06:38 - Aquarium [Movement VII] 08:54 - Elephants [Movement V] 10:24 - Fossils [Movement XII] 11:43 - Grand Finale [Movement XIV] 14:04 - Ending Credits
