Saving a Completely Destroyed Gretsch Acoustic Guitar | Restoration. Part 1

This old Gretsch acoustic guitar arrived at the workshop in terrible condition. The headstock was completely destroyed and large chunks of wood were missing around the truss rod area. In this first part of the restoration I begin the structural repair — carefully cleaning the break, stabilizing the damaged wood and preparing the neck for reconstruction. This is a complex repair that will take multiple stages, so the restoration will continue in the next parts. Can this destroyed Gretsch guitar be saved?
