Context.dev Deep Dive

I wanted to understand Context.dev in depth, so I approached it through six questions: 1. Why does it exist? 2. What does it provide? 3. Who uses it, and why? 4. What architecture enables it? 5. What makes this difficult at scale? 6. What could be the future? In this video, I walk through how I researched Context.dev, from understanding how Brand.dev evolved into Context.dev, to looking at its use cases, and then treating the system as a system design problem to reason about what the architecture could look like. The actual internal architecture isn't public, so the architecture section is my own system-design inference based on the product, documentation, and the problems it needs to solve. This is essentially a walkthrough of how I thought about Context.dev while doing the deep dive.
