Silas & Elspeth - First Foot Home (2026 Full Album Suite)

Silas & Elspeth - First Foot Home (2026 Full Album Suite) One year home. One fire kept. One more light on the way. From the autumn herring quays of Loch Broom to the candlelit midnight of Hogmanay, Silas and Elspeth return with seven new songs of love, temptation, and the courage to stay. Song Description: "First Foot Home" is the direct sequel to "Follow the Lantern". One year after surviving the freezing winter waters of the North Sea, Silas faces the hardest voyage of all: learning to live ashore. When the autumn fleet sails again and the sea calls his name, can a fisherman truly leave the waves behind? Across seven intimate acoustic duets, Silas and Elspeth chronicle the quiet battles of devotion—mending nets on misty stone quays, the silent fear of separation, the choice to choose home, and the news of a child that will soon make two lanterns in the window. The album culminates at midnight on Hogmanay, where ancient Scottish tradition calls for a tall, dark-haired man carrying coal and salt to be the "first foot" across the threshold, bringing warmth and fortune for the year to come. With warm gravelly baritone, pure soaring soprano, fingerpicked Celtic guitar, fiddle, tin whistle, and fireside harmonium, "First Foot Home" is a sanctuary for quiet evenings, reading, reflection, and restorative rest.
