Braswell Mtn Abandoned Railroad Tunnel

This tunnel was built in 1882 by the southern railroad in Braswell Ga. It was abandoned in 1980 and has sat mostly forgotten about since that time. Best access is to tunnel is to park near the existing tracks and then walk in the woods along the base of the mountain next to the road. Eventually you will find the cut opening into the mountain where the rails used to be, follow them and you will find the tunnel.
