A butterfly’s wings create a beautiful example of bilateral symmetry — two sides reflected across a central axis. I used that idea as the inspiration behind this flowing gold ring, transforming a natural form into a wearable piece of jewelry. In mathematics, reflection can be expressed as: (x, y) → (-x, y) In jewelry, that same idea becomes balance, proportion, and visual harmony. The continuous curve of the ring contrasts with the delicate symmetrical butterfly, bringing together two worlds that inspire my designs: mathematics and nature.
