Turning Farm Trees Into Pillars for Our New Nursery

To prepare for commercial vegetable production, we are building a dedicated nursery unit on our farm to nurse seeds into healthy seedlings before transplanting. To construct the unit, we spent seven days harvesting eight African fan palm trees (Borassus aethiopum) directly from our 51-acre property. In this episode, we document the entire cutting and partitioning process as our chainsaw operator mills the fallen trunks into heavy main perimeter posts. From these eight trees, we produced 105 total pillars—securing the 21 posts required for our nursery unit while storing the remaining timber for future farm construction.
