Wrasse on the drop shot at Loch Long - Arrochar - Sea Fishing Scotland

First session of the New Year on February the first. We arrived at the location at 8am with the high tide coming in at 11:30am. The target species of the day was Ballan Wrasse on a 20g float and a drop shot rig using fresh ragworm. The day started off to a nightmare as I realised I hadn't packed my two reel handles!! The conditions were perfect for fishing and there was plenty of surface activity however I stayed focused on the target species... WRASSE! Managed to land 2 decent Ballan wrasse and also had a couple of follows from Pollock on smaller jigs. All round was a great wee mornings fishing finishing around midday Setups: Daiwa BG Seabass rod, Shimano 4000 reel, 28lb green braid Abu Garcia Diplomat V2, Shimano 2500 reel, 12lb mono Fladen Carbon Vantage, Shimano Siena 500 reel, 4lb mono Westin jigs, 20g Float and Ragworm & Drop shots with Ragworm
