The year was 2006. My latest review of my work said my action is good, but I struggle with acting. At the same time we were looking for potential actors to play the Mayor in our upcoming Horton Hears a Who movie. Many of us were fans of Steve Carell who was coming off of 40 Year Old Virgin. This test was done on an early prototype rig and I was thrilled when the directors took me out to lunch to thank me, saying the test sold the idea of Carell as our Mayor! What a crazy experience. .
