Hitting the Sacramento River: New Fun in Old Canoes! 🛶 Join us for an incredible day on the water as we tackle the Sacramento River from Kutras Pond down to the Bonnyview Boat Ramp in Redding CA! We're teaming up with Headwaters Kayak for some classic river running, good times, and a deeper dive into the timeless appeal of traditional watercraft. In this video, we're putting a couple of legendary hulls through their paces: a vintage Dagger Legend and a classic Blue Hole OC1 (Open Canoe 1). Whether you love retro whitewater boats or just want to see how these classic designs handle the current, this run has it all. Boat Specifications Dagger Legend (Available in 15 & 16-foot models): Design: Known as an exceptionally capable all-around river runner and tripper featuring a shallow-arch hull and moderate rocker. Length: Approx. 15 feet (Legend 15) to 16 feet (Legend 16). Width/Beam: Approx. 33 to 35 inches. Construction: Royalex Blue Hole OCA (such as the classic Blue Hole OCA): Design: A legendary whitewater open canoe built with heavy-duty toughness for technical river performance. Length: Typically around 15 feet 9 inches. Construction: Heavy-duty Royalex material paired with durable aluminum gunwales, making it a staple of historic whitewater history.
