One of the most important things you have to take care of when moving permanently to France, is registering to the French healthcare system.
However, it is often unclear what exactly you need to do to apply for a Social Security Number, the Carte Vitale, how the reimbursement of medical expenses works, how to appoint a general practitioner and, most importantly, how long it takes!
Exactly for this reason, and having gone through that myself, in this video I explain the whole process of how to register to the Social Security, the documents you need, the different steps to follow and the possible ways to do it, so that you can be officially covered by the French national health system.
