Be Born Again. And Seven Other Ways to Change. is a fall sermon series exploring eight different ways change takes shape in Scripture. Each week, we ask one question: What does it take to change? We begin with Latency and Nicodemus in John 3.1–10. In a clandestine meeting with Jesus, Nicodemus wants to understand how someone can start over after growing old. Jesus tells him he must be born again, but Nicodemus is left trying to understand what that means. His story begins our exploration of change with uncertainty, when the possibility of becoming something new has been conceived even if we do not yet understand what comes next.
