I Died — And What Jesus Told Me About Speaking in Tongues Changed Everything | Fr. Chris Alar

#frchrisalar#speakingintongues#catholic#catholicfaith#jesuschrist #holyspirit#spiritualgifts What happens when the subject of speaking in tongues is viewed through the lens of eternity? In this powerful and thought-provoking message, Fr. Chris Alar explores the deeper Christian questions surrounding spiritual gifts, salvation, faith, love, and what truly matters when we stand before Jesus. The message begins with a sobering question: what would matter if this life suddenly ended? Our money, reputation, achievements, religious knowledge, spiritual experiences, and public recognition may seem important now, but the script challenges us to look beyond appearances and examine the condition of the heart. Through the perspective of someone who believed they had died and encountered Jesus, this reflection asks whether extraordinary spiritual experiences should ever become more important than knowing Christ Himself. WHY WE WATCH THIS We watch this message because it challenges us to look beyond outward religious experiences and examine what is happening inside our hearts. It encourages Christians to think carefully about spiritual gifts without allowing them to become a source of pride, comparison, or division. It also brings the focus back to the central message of Christianity: Jesus Christ, His grace, His sacrifice, His resurrection, repentance, forgiveness, and transformed living.
