I bought an old abandoned house sight unseen — and inside, everything was left behind: clothes on hangers, family photos on the walls, forks and spoons on the table as if someone had just finished breakfast and walked out.
This house is very old and almost falling apart, but it still has a soul. From the very first steps on the veranda, it keeps surprising: an engraved file, strange scissors, and three antique padlocks — one of them decorated with a beautiful deer, a true work of art.
The storage room holds rusted tools, a scythe blade with maker's marks, an old lantern with numbers on the glass, a turquoise glass decanter glowing in the sunlight, and horse collars made of wood and leather. Then comes the main room, where time seems to have stopped. A poster on the door suggests no one has lived here since 2007. Old photographs hang on the walls — a woman with a sad, stern look, soldiers of the Soviet Army, hand-colored portraits. And an icon in a frame… turned to face the wall. Why?
The drawers reveal the owner's life piece by piece: a "Made in USSR" lamp, vintage Christmas ornaments, men's suits, a fur coat — and FIVE old razors, one of them held together with a rubber band. A strange tape with numbers: 339, 359, 360, 386, 355, 380. What do they mean?
In the last room — working hand scales, a heavy mortar, a homemade grater and an old hand juicer. Who lived here? And why did they leave it all behind?
