Whitehaven AI Photo Controversy – Their Response Raises More Questions!

Watch the original investigation here:    • Expert photographer calls another out for ...   After I challenged the authenticity of several images that I believe were AI-generated but presented as genuine drone photography, Aerial Perspective issued a statement on Facebook. That statement was later removed, followed by a second, more detailed official statement. In this follow-up, I examine what was said, the explanations offered, and the questions that remain unanswered. Among the issues discussed: The claim that the storm photographs were genuine. The difference between an original RAW photograph and a JPEG labelled as RAW. The explanation that AI tools were used to add watermarks. The claims about flying drones in extreme weather conditions. The company's explanation of its internal quality-control procedures. The departure of the individual said to be responsible for the images. I'm a photographer with many years of experience. I have no objection to AI being used creatively or as part of a photographic workflow. My concern is the presentation of AI-generated imagery as genuine photography, and the effect that has on trust. I don't claim to know everything that happened behind the scenes, and I distinguish between the company's own statements, the evidence I've examined, and my conclusions. I stand by the findings of my original investigation. The questions deserve straightforward answers.
