Video 1 The Maine Audubon East Point Audubon Sanctuary in Biddeford Pool, Maine contains a short but spectacular trail along the perimeter of the point, offering stunning views of the rugged and authentic Maine coast. The video was shot the day before the September 2026 nor’easter, offering entertaining, big surf. This high definition play list is meant to be viewed on a big screen TV, offering over 2 hours of big water, blue sky and relaxing views. Video one features the Wood Island Lighthouse and the keeper’s house. This video then pans to the south, viewing the surf and rugged coast on the southeast tip of the sanctuary. Big water collides with Maine’s rocky coast reminiscent of a washing machine gone mad. Remnants of an old iron spindle navigational marker (also known as a day beacon) can be seen 70 yards off of this point. Passing hikers put the impressive scale into perspective. Video two captures the same southern point of the East Point Audubon Sanctuary but this time viewed from the west, looking east. The massive geologic scale and big surf offer spellbinding footage. Video three moves toward the entrance of East Point Audubon Sanctuary and looks across Mermaid Cove to Fletcher’s Neck with Fortunes Rocks Beach in the background. A trained eye can spot the former Coastguard Lifesaving Station, now converted into a private residence. Taking the trail out of East Point Audubon Sanctuary and taking a left to Ocean Ave. is the site of video four. This video looks south across Mermaid Cove (the same cove that video three looked west across). The rugged Maine coastline is accentuated by over 100 cormorants who are sunning on a huge boulder. I hope you view this playlist often, tell yourself that your TV is a window and that, yes, this is your back yard. With or without sound, it never gets old.
