#SummerFloralArt #Zinniapainting #Summerflowers #WatercolorFlower #zinnia #zinniawatercolor Welcome to the Summer Series! I'm so excited to be back with you as we paint and talk through the theme of this new season: Celebrating Things That Don't Change. What flower is still blooming around you? In your garden or in the parks around where you live? No matter how hot it gets, the zinnia keeps blooming! We are celebrating the reliability and endurance of these happy, persistent flowers. I think there is a quiet lesson for us in their persistence under consistent heat and pressure. If you’ve painted with me before, you know I love bright and bold colors. But these zinnias have a bit more of a delicate and muted color and we’re going to play with those more delicate colors in today’s YT video. Supplies you'll need: Watercolor paper: 4x6 and a 5x7, 140lb paper Masking tape Watercolor paint: a light yellow (either a cadmium yellow light hue or a lemon yellow) pink -Purple -Hookers Green or Permanent Green a sap green will work but it will be a little bit of a warmer, muted shade; use lemon yellow to lighten it up a bit Micron pen Watercolor brush - one medium round tip paintbrush, size 6 or 8 / one small brush, size 2 Jar of Clean Water Towel or paper towel Shop for stationery, stickers, and art on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/thecreative... ----------Follow Melissa on Social Media ----------- Instagram:   / melissauclair   Facebook:   / thecreativeseason   Pinterest:   / melissalauclair
