“I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.”
This time, my Gujarat trip landed me in the city nicknamed 'Jewel of Kathiwar' or 'Paris of Saurashtra', formally known as Jamnagar. The city is a popular tourist destination and is home to many exciting attractions. With scenic spots, religious landmarks, coral reefs and mangroves, and sanctuaries for birds and marine life, Jamnagar has a wealth of attractions that you may enjoy. Today's vlog is all about Jamnagar's tourist attractions and I expect it to delight your senses.
Jamnagar, also known for its local crafts like bandhni and metalware, was formerly known as the 'Brass City' because it houses more than 5,000 large-scale and 10,000 small-scale workshops that manufacture brass items. The city is also home to the Gujarat Ayurveda University.
The city is well connected with other parts of India. Many private and ST bus service providers run coaches between Jamnagar and Bhuj, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Mumbai, Pune, and other major cities. Along with this, Jamnagar railway station is connected with a variety of India's destinations and a city airport with direct flights to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The best time to visit Jamnagar is between mid-December to February when the temperature is mild and pleasant.
