The Best Tools for Portrait Drawing | What You Really Need

In this video, I’ll walk you through the drawing materials I personally use for realistic portrait drawing, including graphite pencils, charcoal pencils, charcoal powder, drawing papers, erasers, blending tools, sharpening tools, and other essential drawing accessories. I’ll explain the purpose of different materials, how they work, and how I use them in my own portrait drawings. Whether you're interested in pencil drawing, charcoal drawing, or learning realistic portrait art, this video will help you understand the tools used by artists and how to choose the right materials. If you're a beginner, you don't need to buy every drawing material available in the market to get started. By the end of this video, you'll have a better understanding of which tools are essential and which ones you can add later as you gain experience. I'll also share a simple beginner's drawing kit to help you start your drawing journey without spending unnecessarily on materials you may not need. 👉 Follow me on Instagram   / ashutosh.karhale.art   *Drawing materials featured in this video — links below:* 👇 Papers: Newsprint Paper : https://link.amazon/B01wBGQfJ Printer paper : https://link.amazon/B0efr5QtJ Brustro 160gsm A4 Sketchbook : https://link.amazon/B0irkSh0s Brustro 200gsm A3 Paper : https://link.amazon/B04zmhGkt Fabriano Accademia Drawing Roll : https://link.amazon/B0ffwWdGA Strathmore Toned Paper : https://link.amazon/B08DjI1Yq Brustro Toned Paper : https://link.amazon/B0a9WaNqg Graphite Pencils : Staedtler Mars Lumograph Pencil : https://link.amazon/B08uBiYAl Brusto Fine Art Graphite Pencil : https://link.amazon/B0eQjESiD Camlin Pencil : https://link.amazon/B00cojqnH Faber Castell Pitt Graphite : https://link.amazon/B0d7kbrA9 Charcoals: General's Charcoal Pencil : https://link.amazon/B0bKF9tnn Camlin Charcoal Pencil : https://link.amazon/B04CQcAia Brustro Charcoal Pencil : https://link.amazon/B0iiAI8G9 Brustro Charcoal Powder : https://link.amazon/B0fSmFDmH Hakim's Willow Charcoal : https://link.amazon/B0gXX8CiK Brustro Charcoal Stick : https://link.amazon/B0aUdAzzn Erasers : DOMS Eraser : https://link.amazon/B0d2mDWly Faber-Castell Kneadable Eraser : https://link.amazon/B0iNeC147 Brustro Kneadable Eraser : https://link.amazon/B028tVvV6 Tombow Mono Eraser 2.3mm : https://link.amazon/B05EnwRfV Tombow Mono Eraser 3.8 : https://link.amazon/B0gsdumVM Brustro Nechanical Eraser 2.3mm : https://link.amazon/B06xZv6hy Faber-Castell Eraset Pencil : https://link.amazon/B07d8MI2o Brustro Electric Eraser : https://link.amazon/B0f82yAzw Blending Tools : Blending Stump : https://link.amazon/B0eOKSjm Makeup Brush : https://link.amazon/B0bGF7XSq Makeup Blender : https://link.amazon/B0elN98Mj Sharpening Tools and Other Accesories : Box Cutter : https://link.amazon/B04PMSi2n Sanding Pad: https://link.amazon/B03dAf6ye Brustro Fixative Spray : https://link.amazon/B0cVh2YBK Camel FIxative Spray : https://link.amazon/B01rpifkA Knitting Needle : https://link.amazon/B05QRouwK Drawing Gloves : https://link.amazon/B0eliEg0l Pencil Extender : https://link.amazon/B0esmZekr Masking Tape : https://link.amazon/B0gqyQfpr Board Clips : https://link.amazon/B01ykt2z7 Board Clamp : https://link.amazon/B0aHoeCyM Table Top Easel : https://link.amazon/B00ehr5hY Recording Instruments : Iphone 15 Grenaro Wireless Mic For Youtube : https://link.amazon/B0ac3IKSr Panel Light : https://link.amazon/B00wX5eFV Digitek Studio Light : https://link.amazon/B09ITWMyn Digitek Softbox : https://link.amazon/B06PutpTx Digitek Video Light : https://link.amazon/B0f8jEYY6 Digitak RGB Light : https://link.amazon/B0c3Ci3i8 Ulanzi RGB Light : https://link.amazon/B08ONs4si Digitek Light Stand : https://link.amazon/B0h7SPKVL Hiffin Studio Tripod : https://link.amazon/B02EnWqaL Brolavia Overhead Stand : https://link.amazon/B0beTYg2g Chapters 00:00 Introduction 01:48 Papers 03:50 Graphite Pencils 04:56 Charcoal 07:15 Erasers 09:16 Blending Tools 11:00 Sharpening Tools & Accessories 12:43 Beginner Drawing Kit 14:18 Outro
