I Drove 1,000km for 3 Gigs… Sleeping in My Van Along the Way | QLD Tour

A few weeks ago I packed the van, grabbed the guitar and headed north from Sydney for a weekend of gigs around Queensland. Thursday night I finished a gig in North Sydney and drove all the way to Byron Bay, where I pulled over and slept in the van around 3am. Friday morning: Anytime Fitness in Currumbin, then straight to Miami Marketta for the first show. Saturday morning I hit the road again for Brisbane and played Lefty’s, before driving up to the Sunshine Coast that night and sleeping in the van again. Sunday was another show at Kings Beach Tavern, followed by another night up on the coast. Monday morning I headed up to Noosa before making my way back towards the Gold Coast. A few days of driving, gigs, van life, questionable amounts of sleep and a lot of music.
