This is NOT How we Wanted to Start our DIY Home Renovation 🙇🏻‍♀️🙇‍♂️

Trying to do any type of renovation while your 4 kids are home is a lot harder than you may think. BUUUUTTTT.....We are officially on Day 3 of our DIY renovation of our Fireplace!! Unfortunately things did not get off to a good start. We put a few style options out there and asked you & our Frans which option would be best for us to do, and majority of you chose the concrete fireplace look with shiplapped walls on the sides. The fireplace has tile running all the way up to the ceiling, and we made the executive decision to sand the tiles and spread concrete directly over it. Not only did we ruin a few bags and buckets of quick dry concrete, but we missed a very important step before applying the first layer and may have doomed this project from the very beginning.
