Pakistanis are increasingly switching to Electric Vehicles (EVs), and with rising petrol prices, it's easy to understand why. But is Pakistan's charging infrastructure ready for this growing EV revolution?
I've personally been using electric vehicles for the last 3 years, and most of my charging has been done at home. However, I wanted to understand the reality for people who depend on public charging stations every day.
So I went out on the streets, visited EV charging stations and spoke to EV owners and people working at these stations to understand the challenges they face.
From waiting times that can exceed 2 hours to chargers that are frequently out of service, electricity breakdowns and limited charging facilities, there's a lot that prospective EV buyers should know.
This video isn't about discouraging people from buying EVs. Electric vehicles have enormous potential in Pakistan, especially with the rising cost of fuel. But as more Pakistanis make the switch, we need reliable charging infrastructure that can keep up with the growing demand.
Pakistan is going electric, but are we ready for it?
Watch till the end and share your experience with EVs and public charging infrastructure in Pakistan in the comments.
If you're an EV owner, I'd especially like to hear about your charging experience!
