I Recreated My Grandfather in Miniature.

For our sixth Christmas without my grandfather, I wanted to surprise my mother, aunt and grandmother with something truly personal. I recreated my grandfather in miniature, sitting in his favorite chair, enjoying his favorite drink next to a tiny working version of a lamp he made himself. He used to be a coppersmith and was always incredibly skilled with his hands, which made recreating his lamp feel even more special. I designed everything in 3D, printed it, sanded, primed, airbrushed and hand-painted every detail, and even made the miniature lamp actually work. It became more than just a miniature. It became a way to have our father and grandfather with us again, in a small but very meaningful way.
