Bono and other Chiefs pushing for the removal of Asantehene name from the constitution. I just listened to the so called bonokyepem group which one of them made mention about the promise that ndc made to them during their campaign in the bono areas. ​⁠‪@Mmrantiehene‬ Because such promise was mischievous it was made in secret that's why nobody heard. According to them ndc promised them to make amendments in the constitution when they won power and they were calling on president mahama to fulfil the promise. Our cherish Chiefs and all Asantes on this platform must be interested in any conversation that the president or any of his appointees will try to raise concerning any amendments to the constitution that would seek to rank Asantehene in the level of Omanhene. When the president met the national house of chiefs he made mention of the constitutional review on the chieftancy act and Asantes should have a keen interest in that process. I don't know what is injurious to the the chieftancy act that needs to be amended except about the problem some chiefs have with the name of Asantehene in the constitution and the power that Asantehene has to create paramountcy in the bono enclaves which is the headache of some of the people in the area. Whatever proposal anybody is making is not being done in good faith except to break the pride of Asanteman. Removing Asantehene's name from the the constitution will not change their hatred towards Asantes because they want to see Asante kneeling under their feet and worship them, they will never stop. If any suggestion is made to that effect we must have our counter proposal already to the government because we're many than them. And that proposal I suggest is to abolish entirely the Regional and national house of chiefs and leave /create traditional councils which will be led the head of the traditional area. In this case Asante will have all its states in any part of the country intact and together. If that traditional council wishes to create any paramountcies or any title all that they have to do is to seek the consent of the government and if the government agrees to it they do it.
