An affluent black man in the 1910s New Orleans, Louis is romanced and later made a vampire by the charismatic Lestat de Lioncourt. But Louis struggles with his humanity, and the introduction of Lestat's newest fledgling, the teenage vampire Claudia, only strains their relationship further. In the present, Daniel begins to doubt the veracity of Louis' story, noting differences from the earlier version. This was supposed to come out Oct 2023 … … … ANYWAYSSSS Yeahhhhh, I’ve been working on this for well over a year. Pls be kind, it's been my bby for 18mos and I'm finally releasing it to the world 😅. Nah, but in all seriousness, re-listening to the same song when I'm editing makes me go a lil insane and since my stubborn ass committed to two songs in eight exact mins, it was drivin me up a wall so I took many, many, m a n y breaks. I saw some IG reel back in Spring 2023 about how Ryan Gosling was in a horror band back in the day and I jumped right on that shit. It's so good lmfaoooo. I heard ‘Lose Your Soul’ and immediately thought of LDPDL and once it transitioned into ‘Werewolf Heart’, I was sold. I went in episodic order for the most part (as usual). The audio is a lil iffy in some parts bc although I screen-recorded both songs at once, I think one song is naturally louder than the other, so it took some time to work on that. This masterpiece of a series is FINALLLLLLLLY getting the recognition it deserves !!!! I’ve seen so many novel to film adaptations and there has never been one as dedicated to the source material to the point where the alterations elevate the storylines and characters. Perfection. This story was introduced to me when I was in middle school. Being able to see Claudia represented as a biracial girl in season one, and a Black woman in season two, truly means a lot to me since I didn't see a lot of BIPOC female rep in vampire fiction when I was coming up (shoutout Sarah Fox iykyk). I truly feel as though Kirsten, Bailey and Delainey were all meant to portray Claudia at various stages in her existence, and they were all fabulous performances. Happy belated Birthday Claudia.
