在做影片的時候常常想，如果在參觀前翻了書，查看參考資料，那該有多好。那麼我就知道什麼地方我要多注意，多照細節。當時拍攝的時候，並不覺得這幅畫可貴之處，到回來寫旁白時，才驚覺很多地方我錯過了。 在編排時，往往是真正學習的時候。 而有些畫查不到畫者，但是我知道它的意思。宗教畫有趣的地方就在這裏，唸過聖經，大概就知道它在描述什麼，但是有些畫家的構圖佈局，別具巧思，往往讓觀眾猜謎。 一間廣場邊的教堂，就可以讓我逛兩個鐘頭，威尼斯對我說是一座寳山。 While making the video, I often found myself wishing I had consulted books or reference materials before the visit. Had I done so, I would have known exactly what to focus on and which details to capture. At the time of filming, I didn't fully appreciate the true value of certain paintings; it was only later, while writing the narration, that I realized how much I had missed. The editing process is often when the real learning takes place. There were paintings where the artist remained unidentified, yet I understood the subject matter. That is the fascinating aspect of religious art: if you have read the Bible, you generally grasp what is being depicted, yet the unique compositional choices of certain painters often turn the viewing experience into a riddle for the audience. I could easily spend two hours exploring just a single church by the piazza; to me, Venice is a treasure trove.
