Today I rebuilt a garden wall that had collapsed after years of pressure from the garden behind it. The old wall had no footing and wasn’t strong enough to hold back the soil, so I gave it a proper upgrade: New concrete footing for strength Second skin of blockwork for stability French drain to take the water away Loads of wall ties to hold everything together The wall was originally built out of level (following the natural stonework), so for the first time I intentionally built a wall that isn’t perfectly level — and it turned out amazing!
