[HD] BNSF's Scenic Route Along the Platte River (Ashland to Pacific Junction)

BNSF's Creston sub handles a large volume of freight traffic east of Lincoln, Nebraska to destinations all across the Midwest, with a majority of this traffic bypassing Omaha along the east end of the Platte River. We follow this line east from the junction at Ashland through Oreapolis, where the line crosses the Union Pacific, to Plattsmouth, where the line crosses the Missouri River, and onward to Pacific Junction in western Iowa, with plenty of coal drags, manifests, and other action in between.
