The main melody is built on a consistent 4 note rhythm played in 7/16, but using a cycle of only 5 pitches. This means the notes are constantly changing where they land on the beat and in doing so creates a pattern of ever shifting arpeggios. This is then placed against a consistent quarter note backbeat and results in a pattern that takes 35 beats to repeat.
