On October 20, 1967, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin filmed 59 seconds of a tall, hairy figure walking beside Bluff Creek in Northern California. For 59 years the Patterson–Gimlin film has divided scientists, skeptics and believers. Then a 16mm reel turned up in a locked safe. This is the full story: the people, the money, the costume claims, both sides of the debate, and what the new documentary "Capturing Bigfoot" (released Oct 20, 2026) says it shows.
This video contains NO frames from the Patterson–Gimlin film or the documentary. Scenes marked "AI RECREATION" are AI-generated illustrations, not real photos.
