When the Stones Start Flying | A Prayer for a Teachable Heart + Song

When criticism hurts, we can bring both our pain and our questions to God. Inspired by David's encounter with Shimei in 2 Samuel 16:5–13, this Prayer + Song experience asks the Lord for a teachable heart: humility to receive correction, courage to remain faithful, and grace toward those who question us. The opening reflection and prayer flow into an original gospel ballad, “When the Stones Start Flying.” “And if the words are undeserved, Still work Your grace in me.” If you are facing criticism, misunderstanding, or discouragement, may this prayer help you pause, listen to God, and respond with love. Scripture inspiration: 2 Samuel 16:5–13. An original Life Song Bible Ministries Prayer + Song experience. Created with AI-assisted music, voice, and artwork.
