#bordercollies #cycling #bordercollielovers Our adventure starts at Troon in South Ayrshire where Meg and I catch the #calmac ferry to the Isle of Arran. A short drive brings us to Lochranza at the north end of the island where we pay a visit to Lochranza castle before boarding our second ferry to Claonaig on the Kintyre peninsula. We had a look around Inverary and walked up to the watchtower from the castle for superb views of Inverary and Loch Fyne. The Fyne Ales brewery @fyneales allows you to bring your own food to eat in the brewery tap so I had my sandwiches there and washed them down with one of my favourite beers 🍻 The next morning brought perfect weather, so come along with us and enjoy the sights and sounds as we travel along the Crinan Canal 😎 Meg and I stayed at the Empire Travel Lodge in Lochgilphead. Dog-friendly, comfortable accommodation and excellent breakfasts 😋 The building was originally constructed as the Empire News Theatre for the Empire Exhibition of 1938 in Glasgow. When the exhibition closed, the building was dismantled and re-built in Lochgilphead as the Empire Cinema.
