Mr. Disco Kid Loves To Boogie (Disco | House | Funk) Vinyl DJ Mix

Mr. Disco Kid Loves To Boogie (050) We've reached episode fifty! Firstly a huge thank you to everybody that played records on the channel and to all of you that tune in to enjoy them, we would be nothing without you. What a show we have for you to mark the occasion, a DJ who's currently earning quite the recognition and for good reason, Tokyo's very own Mr. Disco Kid!!! The mix starts ''rooted in the party culture of West Coast gangsta boogie funk, the journey then gradually dissolves into the psychedelic haze of deep house, before emerging into an open, expansive space where the mind is set free. What begins as a groove becomes a state of mind—a space where boundaries loosen, bodies move, and sound opens into something freer. Over the course of an hour, the music travels toward a simple destination: love. As long as the love and the groove remain, there are no borders.'' Mr. Disco Kid began his career as a DJ and private record dealer in his teens. With his extensive knowledge of vinyl records, he has mastered the ability to curate a wide range of sounds, from unknown and rare grooves to house, techno and world music, all while maintaining his unique groove and a musical vision that transcends genres. Since 2024 he started touring across Europe. He's performed remarkable 7-hour sets at the infamous Giant Steps & OM in London, earning recognition from various corners of the music world. As a record dealer, he counts many renowned DJs and collectors, such as Gilles Peterson, Tuxedo and Antal among his clients. His passion lies in unearthing undiscovered records, creating value for them, and sharing them with the world. ---------------------------------------------------- We love creating these videos for you, bringing new musical discoveries to your ears from special guests and our Alhara Radio shows with Delonte Rivers.
