THE BLOCK FOUND A BEAT | A CreateVision313 Short Film

Eight men on a Detroit block. Not one real instrument between them. A trash can, a bed frame, a stack of pipes, a crate organ — and by the end of the alley, a groove the whole building comes to the window for. THE BLOCK FOUND A BEAT follows a street band that can't get going. The pieces are there, the players are there, but something's missing. Then Bill comes around the corner pushing a drum kit made out of a milk can and a headlight, and the block finds its beat. Scored with the original track "313 All Day," written and produced for this film. Created by CreateVision313. Black surrealism, Detroit energy, soulful sci-fi, retro-futurist comedy, AI cinema, experimental visuals. Every character, instrument, environment and frame built from scratch for this piece.
