The tension erupted after a violent confrontation and firing incident at Mingmang Badati along the inter-state boundary over alleged land encroachment, leaving several people injured. Echoing the push for harmony, Arunachal Pradesh Home and Border Affairs Minister Mama Natung appealed for sustained peace. Emphasizing bilateral ties, Natung reaffirmed that Assam remains the state's “elder brother” and permanent neighbour.
