I ONCE WAS: NHL Wife Kylie Slavin

In college, Kylie Slavin approached faith as something that was "based upon works." But her eyes were opened when a camp counselor shared with her the popular Bible verse John 3:16, and emphasized that "whoever believes in Him" has eternal life, not whoever does the right things. She suddenly recognized she was a sinner and "needed Him as my Savior." She gave her life to Jesus that night. Around that same time, she was introduced to pornography, which she would struggle with for the next five years. Once she gained the courage to confess her weakness, however, she truly experienced the freedom that Christ offers.
