Somewhere around the second birthday, a lot of children begin turning babbles into real words, and every new sound is a big event in the house. This video is made for that stage. It moves through the alphabet from A to Z with plenty of space, so a little talker can listen, try, and copy at their own speed.
The sounds come one at a time, said slowly and shown in a friendly close-up of a mouth, so a child can see how the lips and tongue move. After each one there's a quiet pause, a gap that invites the child to answer. Some will say the sound, some will wave, some will just smile, and all of those answers count. Early talkers learn by watching and trying, and the pauses make room for both.
Letters are paired with the kind of simple word a two-year-old might already know or be close to saying, such as ball, cup, or dog. Short words made of a few easy sounds are far more likely to come out of a small mouth than long, tricky ones, and a word that works the first time builds a child's confidence to try the next one.
