The list for today was long. The duck did not get through it. It got out of bed, finally, answered one message, watered the plant and had something warm to drink. That's about it, honestly. Now it's sitting here holding a big red heart, a little proud anyway. Two hours of easygoing cafe jazz — warm piano, soft brushes and a clarinet that answers now and then. Good for working, studying, reading, or the end of a day that didn't go the way the list said it would. Nobody here is keeping score.
