A Baby Monkey Looks Just Like Punch. Are They Related?

Does this baby monkey really look like Punch monkey? A fan channel asked if they could be brothers. Here is what we actually know, and what is still a guess. Punch was born July 26, 2025, and raised by keepers, so he is about 15 months old now. On October 30, a fan channel posted a baby monkey at Ichikawa City Zoo and labeled the clip "Punch Brothers?", question mark included. The same filmer wrote that looking alike doesn't mean being related, and that nothing about family is confirmed. I watched the video ten times, set it next to Punch in a clip labeled March 2026, and kept two lists: what we know, and what is only a guess. My honest take: I don't know if they are brothers. The zoo has not said who is related to whom, and I would rather wait than guess. What I do know is that two babies started life very differently. One has a mom's arms. One had keepers and a stuffed orangutan, and he is now the big kid of the nursery. Macaques look alike from far away, so I only call a monkey Punch where a label, caption or arrow says so. Everywhere else it's "a baby" or "a young monkey." This is a fan-made video, not an official zoo update. 0:00 Which one is Punch? 0:20 The question 1:08 Meet the lookalike 2:09 Round two 3:03 What we actually know 4:27 Two babies, two starts 5:26 The big brother part 7:01 My take 7:50 One more thing We love Punch and deeply respect the keepers at Ichikawa City Zoo, a small local zoo doing its best for its animals every day.
