Hand Retouching of Wet Plate Collodion Negatives is a Game Changer!

Dear viewers, I've started big this year. Lots of things happening most of them are very positive. Well, not everything is working as it should. My oldtimer Land Rover from 1972, has a serious issue with chassis, so it will be resting for at least half a year. Anyway, I am in super productive mood and this year I want to publish a book Feels Like Home and close this life's chapter of searching and looking. Here is a beautiful carbon print from a retouched wet plate collodion negative. When I was exposing this wet plate collodion negative, I didn't had high hopes. To be photographing against the light with 90 year old (uncoated) lens, exposing 40 minutes on wet plate collodion negative, a subject that is green and pink (collodion is blue and UV sensitive) that's all calling for trouble. But I am doing this for 14 years and I know my ways, so on the end I'm very satisfied with the print. What do you think? On the artistic side, I am very privileged to have my art to channel life through and discipline to push it through my photography.
