Koppal Gavisiddeshwara Swamiji Speech: ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ಮಾಡುವಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡವನು ನಾನಲ್ಲ ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳದ ಶ್ರೀ ಗವಿಸಿದ್ದೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರು, ಮೈಸೂರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಆತ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕಾರವಂತರ ನಗರ ಎಂದು ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿದರು. ದಸರಾ ವೈಭವದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕಾಣದಂತೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಒಂದು ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜರುಗಳ ಹಬ್ಬವಾಗಿದ್ದ ದಸರಾ ಇಂದು ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಧರೆಯ ಹಬ್ಬವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡವನು ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡು ದಸರಾ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ, ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಚಾಮುಂಡಿ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹಾನುಭವರು ಹಚ್ಚಿರುವ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಗಲು ಬಂದಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ವಿನಯದಿಂದ ನುಡಿದರು. ಆರು ಕೋಟಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ದೀಪ ಹಚ್ಚಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದ ಶ್ರೀಗಳು, ತಾಯಿ ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿ 'ಟವರ್ ಆಫ್ ದಿ ಪವರ್' ಎಂದು ವರ್ಣಿಸಿ, ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ ಭೂತ, ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ವರ್ತಮಾನಗಳ ಸಂಗಮವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವುದೇ ನಿಜವಾದ ಧರ್ಮ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜಮನೆತನವನ್ನು ಹೊರಗಿಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರು. ಅಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಸರು ಕೇವಲ ನೆಲವನ್ನು ಆಳಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಜನರ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಆಳಿದರು ಎಂದು ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿದರು. ಜಾನಪದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವು ಮಹಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ಮಣ್ಣಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆತು ತಾಯಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಗುವಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತು ಊಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದ ಕಲೆ ಎಂದು ಜಾನಪದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. Inaugurating the world-renowned Mysuru Dasara celebrations, revered seer Sri Gavisiddeshwara Swamiji of Koppal delivered a soul-stirring speech, describing Mysuru as the soul of Karnataka culture, a city of values, palaces, and wisdom. Expressing gratitude to the thousands of unsung hands behind the grand festival, he noted that Dasara has transformed from a royal celebration into a festival of the masses. Stating with utmost humility that he did not come as a big personality to inaugurate Dasara but rather to pray at the shrine of Goddess Chamundeshwari—whom he hailed as the "Tower of Power"—he remarked that Dasara is a confluence of past, present, and future. Highlighting the historic contributions of the Wadiyar dynasty, the Swamiji emphasized that Karnataka's history cannot be separated from the Mysore royal family, who ruled the hearts of the people rather than just territory.
